Gina's Advice of the Day

When you eat cut fruits or vegetables, you should eat it as soon as possible. Otherwise ( although you are eating fibre), the nutrients contained in it have all disappeared!...i did not know that..

  1. The best way to store fruits and vegetables like apples, oranges, grapefruit, potatoes and other produce is with the skin, rinds, and peelings intact. Once the protective peels or coverings of fruits and vegetables are cut, the fruits and vegetables begin to degrade and lose vitamin C. This nutrient loss doesn't really occur immediately, as long as cut fruits are stored in the refrigerator. Can be stored for up to 5 days (but it wont taste good!)and it would have lost about 50% of the vitamins by then.

    Best to eat FRESH!!!
